Wish I could give zero stars. If you want a barber whose shop will be closed during listed hours and won't tell you hes running late until AFTER your appointment, Criss is the barber for you. If you like competence, avoid this place like the plague

I’m giving one star — and honestly, that feels generous — because Rafael was kind and professional. Unfortunately, my overall experience was deeply disappointing. This was my second attempt at bringing my autistic son in for a haircut. My son struggles with significant sensory overload, and while he may not fit a “typical” mold of autism, his challenges are very real. During both visits, most of the staff (with the exception of Rafael) did not appear welcoming. There was laughter, visible annoyance, and comments under their breath when my son experienced outbursts. As a parent, that was incredibly disheartening and humiliating. If a business claims to specialize in working with children on the spectrum, that should come with patience, understanding, and a truly adaptive environment — not one that feels judgmental or dismissive. Specialists require compassion and flexibility. In our case, there was very little effort made to even attempt to engage with or touch my son’s hair in a supportive way. I was told that if my son is “this difficult,” I should cut his hair at home. Hearing that from a facility that promotes itself as experienced in this area was shocking. I had to laugh just to keep from crying. I gave the shop a second chance because Rafael seemed kind, but sadly, the overall experience confirmed that this is not a supportive environment for children like my son. I hope this feedback encourages real reflection and change.

Booked an appointment with Miguel Cutz on a whim and I can’t recommend him enough. I’ve been a couple of times and he’s always kind, professional, precise and makes sure he knows exactly what you want before he starts. Just booked my next appointment.
