8 Fifty Wood Fired Pizza

We chose there because they close at 11, and we arrived at 9:30. Upon arrival the bartender yelled and said the kitchen is closed, we sat at the bar and I asked for a glass of Merlot, which she responded “do you see it on the menu” I then asked for a menu. We then got a glass of wine off the menu. As we drank our wine workers sat at the bar and rolled silverware and to my surprise they ordered food from a kitchen that was closed. The bartender did not come back and ask us if we wanted another because she was too busy dragging chairs around the bar and mopping the floors. She clearly needed to get out of there and it was 9:45 at this time. Change your hours or treat people better

Our mother's day experience. Kyle, our waiter, very nice guy. The food, i ordered the octopus app for $20.95, very tasty although the owner must think this restaurant is a NYC 5 star dining experience. The app had ONE....ONE small piece of octopus with a few sliced potatoes and greens, c'mon!The meatball sandwich was very tasty. The salmon was good and the pizza was tasty. I will not be ordering the octopus again.

This was a really frustrating experience from start to finish. My wife originally wanted a clam pizza, but while ordering we were told they didn’t even have clams. We switched to another pizza and asked to add sausage—something simple—but the pizza came out without it. It then took about 30 minutes just to get two pizzas and the place was not even busy . We asked for a side of red sauce and somehow that took another 5 minutes to bring out. After we finished eating, we sat around waiting about 15 minutes just to get the check. The best part? They still charged us for the sausage that never came on the pizza. The staff said they’d remove it, but it was still on the bill when it came back and we had to ask again. Won’t be coming back ! Slow service, missing ingredients, and sloppy billing. Not a great look for a pizzeria. Plenty of better options out there.

8Fifty is under new ownership, and the restaurant now offers much more than pizza. Their wings are cooked in the wood-fired oven and have a great crisp to them, with the sauce turning into a nice glaze from heat. Their Buffalo sauce is on the sweeter side and pairs nicely with the Mac and cheese. The garlic bites are the softest I think I’ve ever had and are dangerously addictive! The margherita pizza and the spinach and artichoke special pizza were both good. Our one critique on the food is that we think the crust or sauce could be a bit more flavorful, but the crust has a great crisp and our pies were charred perfectly. I have seen them come out darker than ours though, so if you don’t like char I definitely recommend asking for a lighter bake. They’ve expanded and have much more seating than they used to, as well as a full bar. In our experience the pizzas do take a while to come out, but the rest of the food came out fairly quickly. We’re looking forward to coming in for brunch on a weekend!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE- please get the Festive Salad next time you go. It is amazing. I have gotten it in the restaurant, as well as to go and it is ALWAYS fresh- always beautifully presented. Always consistent. The staff here is also wonderful. They are attentive, fast and extremely knowledgeable. The dining room is beautiful as well. Great atmosphere. Great wine, and awesome people :)
