Very nice walk along an old gravel pit that goes to Milwaukee River.Excellent place to view birds,but make sure you bring insect repellent.

The place is beautiful, however it is not that easily accessible for certain people. The main areas of the preserve is landlocked by private land that has signs everywhere letting you know your not welcome. You can access this area easily by use of the water, but sometimes people do not have the means to utilize a water craft for transport. Most of the roadways surrounding the area have no parking signs so stopping for a brief moment to enjoy the area is prohibited. Would be better if local residents shared the beautiful area, but it's a pay to play location restricted for use by local residents.
