Had an appointment for my ACL with a specialist, got there and everything was set up for a foot injury? Was told too bad and walked out. Waste of time i won’t be going froedert again, nor will I ever suggest these clowns.

I wanted to say quite a few things about this place. My boyfriend has been having a lot of sleep apnea symptoms and COPD and extremely high bp for a 21 year old. He went to see this doctor and she completely dismissed everything he was talking about and said that there was no way he could have COPD with how young he is and we explained that he is in the military and has been around extremely dusty and unsanitary areas. He has every single symptom of COPD and his mother also is diagnosed with it. She ended up giving him a 2 day take home test for the sleep apnea and a spirometry test. The last appointment he had with her she confirmed that he had multiple episodes and said he does have obstructive sleep apnea. With the spirometry test it came back normal and she said he had NO lung issues at all which he clearly does if he is wheezing,short of breathe, coughing up mucus, fatigue, and more. He then tried to advocate for himself and not let her undermine him and she got very angry and extremely rude with him asking for a pulmonary referral “ugh fine you can have it” with a HUGE sigh and a very rude tone. She then continued on to say that he is obese and that it’s causing his high bp. He has had high bp for the last couple of years and his military doctor even said she was worried about it and this was when he was SKINNY and I mean skinny. So it’s obviously not from that and he is in no way shape or form “obese” they base it off of the absolutely broken and outdated system of BMI. He is muscular not fat at all. He barely has any body fat. She then said she would give him a referral for a weight loss clinic and he obviously denied because he doesn’t need it! She also wrote in the visit notes “considering he is obese and he has a sleep apnea comorbidity but he is only 21 and going on GlP-1 for weight loss he would like to try to make some changes and lose weight that way”. When he denied it she said “oh you don’t want to lose weight? okay”. Also extremely rude. During the appointment she said NOTHING about going on a injection for weight loss and he would have denied that if she did. He was also put on zoloft by another primary doctor and when he was explaining the side effects that he was having on them she assumed that he stopped taking the medication completely so she therefore took it off of his chart. Obviously you can’t just stop antidepressants due to the withdrawal symptoms and how bad they can be with just stopping the medication. He was taking 100mg to 0 mg. His father also passed away at 39 yrs old due to sudden death and my boyfriend does not know from what exactly. She completely assumed and put it in his chart that his father died from coronary artery disease. Which is now effecting how she is treating him also. She also said that his high bp is caused by stress and anxiety but more specifically panic attacks which he doesn’t get panic attacks. When his bp is high his heart rate is usually normal (his bp is usually around 150/95). Just completely dismissing everything that he has going on or tried to to explain to her. He also has experience in the medical field as he has taken the emt course and class and passed and is going on progressively with his career, so he obviously knows what he is talking about.

I went in for a new patient setup and annual physical. Reception staff were great, I was checked in right away and given clear instructions. My nurse was clearly overworked and exhausted, but she was friendly and competent. My doctor however? She completely dismissed me. It was VERY clear from w minutes in that she was running late and wanted an in-and-out appointment, and everything she said shut down everything I, as the paying patient requesting her professional services and time, had to say. I tried to bring up two medical issues that I've been having, which I noted in all my patient surveys, and she steamrolled me both times. Once was for an issue I won't be posting publicly. The second was that I have been having extremely irregular periods my entire life, that it runs in the family, and I wanted to start hormonal birth control to manage them. She did not ask if they were painful. She did not ask about spotting. She did not ask about flow. She did not ask ANY further questions, just said that irregular periods were fine unless I was trying to have a baby. Excuse you???!? How can you just say that sithout asking any further questions? Has nobody informed you of PCOS? Endometriosis?? So at that point, I gave up and just tried to ask for the prescription. She blew me off. She wouldn't even prescribe the BC because I refused to submit to a pap smear, because with my sexual history I know I do not have HPV. I tried to remind her of my medical history, which incldes a BC prescription that I did not submit to a pap smear for. And then I tried to tell her that I did not have a family history of cervical cancer and she said, "Family history doesn't matter, you can ONLY get cervical cancer through sex, if you contract HPV." That is JUST incorrect. The cervix is just tissue. It doesn't have some kind of magical cancer-defeating sheild that's only bested by HPV. At that point, I wouldn't have even trusted her to give me a flu shot. I walked out and had another provider on the phone within an hour, who actually listened and decided I was competent enough to make that medical decision for myself. Crazy, right? I don't understand why she's even a doctor if she doesn't want to treat people or think critically. Go sit on an assembly line, then you can be as dismissive as you want. You work in healthcare. You don't get to do that. If you can't handle that, quit. I'm definitely letting my insurance company know. Maybe if they act on it and she loses money it'll remind her that, hey, you DO actually have to listen to grown adults who are paying you for a service. If you are being rushed by the hospital, make that THEIR problem, not your patient's.

This is the most difficult experience just showing up for an appointment and scheduling appointments I have ever experienced. We have shown up twice now after making an appointment to have them tell us we have no appointment. One time okay- but twice in a row when you are supposed to have regular 3 month care with a neurologist is absolutely unacceptable. The support staff is rude and tries to gaslight you. This is medical center- why is it so poorly run?! Edit- we got a text message from froedert & MCW confirming our 12pm appointment for today at the spine care mequon health center 11430 N port Washington road at 12:22 asking us to use the link to ‘to let us know you’re here.” After multiple staff told us we do not have an appointment and telling us we are rude and acting like they are doing us a favor to “squeeze us in.” All we have done was try to communicate when and how we made the appointments and they have been rude and dismissing at every interaction.

I have yet to visit this location because I can’t seem to get my appointment scheduled! NO ONE in scheduling picks up the phone and I’m continually bounced back between the MKE center and Mequon. Out of all Froedtert centers I have interacted with, this place sucks. How am I suppose to get the medical care I need if I can’t even talk to someone? Please hire people who actually do their job.
