The trails are not well defined. I went in December, so everything is dormant and there isn't much vegetation to guide you on where the path is. There are orange and blue ribbons on the trees and brush which provide a very rough trail to follow. Some of the ribbons are off the beaten path though. Maybe they make more sense when there's foliage. I put together a map with several checkpoints so that if you do choose to hike here, you can have a reference to make sure you're on the right path. Hopefully it makes sense. Good Luck!

Very wooded marsh area, bring mud boots and spray for mosquitoes and ticks. Cranes sometimes occupy the fields nearby. If you like to hike off trail you'll like this place.

Small block of land obtained by the DNR under the Knowels -Nelson Grant program. Suspect much of this is underwater in spring and summer. They want your dog leashed, but they need to put a no dumping sign up too.Or maybe its modern sculpture the grant paid for. I don't know.

This could be a really great little park! The trees are incredibly tall and with all the summer foliage it feels almost enchanted. The only thing I found disappointing was that each trail dead ends. Connect a few of the trails and I think it would be 5 star park.
