Park with marked trails for walking and dog walking in Mequon
Great park for short hike seems to be well taken care of; some spots are a bit muddy during rainy/snow season, but that's to be expected, right? Paths are clearly marked throughout the whole path. No mosquitoes during my late April visit, parking was plenty, and it was very quiet (some road noise, but normal considering it's surrounded by roads). All in all, a great park for a quick hike.
I chose to go to this location because I own a home in the highland condos a little south of the trails and wanted to find a place to walk my dog. After experiencing these trails, I would definitely go back again. They are covered by wooded area, which i enjoy while hiking. The park also has bags and trash areas for the dog poop. This makes it a lot easier to care for the puppy during our walk through the trails. While there are some great features, I did not see a playground/bathroom areas, the mosquitoes were absolutely horrible, and some of the trails are a bit narrow. Overall, a great place to visit if your looking for a fun new place to discover.
As others have said, nice little trail. Some parts are open enough to run, others are quite narrow or washed out. Certainly navigable. Only real downside is you can’t escape the traffic noise anywhere on the trail, so bring some headphones if you want to escape!
Nice little trail for a walk in late winter. A few spots were starting to be muddy, but most of the paths were snow covered still. (The just below freezing temps helped a lot with that.) Some downed branches near or by path that need to get cleared out. Traffic is heard by busy roads for most the trail so if you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place. Overall decent experience to change up the scenery some. I would come back.
Great place to walk your dog. Family friendly trails with colored markers. Beautiful wilderness areas buzzing with wildlife. Great place to forage all kinds of holistic herbs and fungi. Highly recommend taking the time to explore for your own experience.
