I’ve been to Foxtown many times over the years and I’ve always had a positive experience. I haven’t been in a while, probably over a year or so, and it was completely different this time than any of my previous ones. Was there a change in management or ownership? The AI-generated cocktail menu seriously irritated me as someone who has allergies and would have loved to have a drink, but there were no ingredients listed. Not worth the risk to try them. My husband ordered two cocktails, neither of which looked like the picture (in the photo is supposed to be a “pinkys up”) and both tasted like dive bar drinks, sadly. I wonder if an actual person could have designed the cocktail menu to actually look like the real drinks AND list ingredient information on it? We got the 4 meat BBQ platter. The chicken was overcooked, the pulled pork and brisket were good although portions left something to be desired. What was really off-putting was the sole fried pickle (1) on our plate, when the meal is supposed to come with “fried pickles.” The waitress said it should be 3 fried pickles and went to get 2 more. At one point, she came out with a small plate with 1 lone pickle on it saying the last should be out soon… We paid and left before it ever arrived. Why do they even say they’ll be included, honestly, if they’re only going to give 3 (and struggle to provide that many for some reason)? My favorite thing used to be the pulled pork mac n cheese, so I tried to simulate that with ordering the smoked mac as our side. It was nothing like the way the mac used to be, and there wasn’t a normal mac option. The pro I can give here is that the patio is lovely and clean, and the wait staff is super hardworking. It is unfortunate that they have menus that fail them and make their jobs more difficult. My husband and I cannot understand why they fixed something that wasn’t broken.
