Local market with in-house butcher and smoked meats
Every time I'm in town, I come to Karl's! Oh so many flavors of sausage... And a little bit of everything else, and other local made foods. It is so hard to decide because I want it all! Every thing is so good; I have never been disappointed. Can't wait to go back!
Fantastic place. Great meats. Reasonable prices. Always leave here with a bunch of delicious dinner options. Jalapeño cheddar beef sticks are excellent. Wish they would have had some Ghost pepper sticks. Those were great last summer.
I bought this “chicken rub” from Karl’s on 2/14/26 - tell me why this is a can of aldis black pepper?!?!?! Karl’s has royally declined and trying to scam people now. We paid a total of $150 for groceries and you’re scamming the community….
Our neighbor gave us a bunch of ground venison from his deer this fall that he has processed at Karl’s. When I was seasoning it for tacos, I noticed a bunch of hair. The meat was seasoned with chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin. So it couldn’t be the seasonings.
Been by this place hundreds of times. I was driving past and remembered that I needed chicken gizzards for a special appetizer I wanted to make for a New Year’s Eve party. It was busy, with people coming in for holiday shopping. It took a while before someone noticed me and asked if I needed help. When I asked about the gizzards, no one seemed to know whether they carried them. There were a couple of trips to the back, along with checks of the packaged items and frozen section, but nothing turned up. Too bad. Not a successful first visit. FYI. I ended up going to Ray’s Butcher on Loomis, and they had plenty of one pound containers of gizzards.
