Falls Area Food Pantry & Community Services provides an important service to the community, and I respect the work being done to support local families and individuals in need. The mission of this organization is valuable and deserves recognition. However, the public online conduct of Drew Biskobing, who is identified as a sitting board member, is disappointing to say the least. In my opinion, his comments and behavior came across as immature, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Board members represent an organization, even when speaking online, and that kind of conduct does not reflect well on a community service organization built around trust, respect, and compassion. This is especially concerning when a board member chooses to involve himself in matters that do not appear to involve him or the organization directly. I hope Falls Area Food Pantry & Community Services takes public professionalism seriously, especially from people in leadership or board roles. The pantry’s mission is worth supporting, but the organization should expect better judgment from anyone representing it.
