Upon arriving and finding amazing parking spot the end of the line was directly across from my parking spot. The line wrapped all around the building but was we walked up the slightly incline and then back down because of where the line was, I asked the security guard do we have to go to the end of the line and walk back my sister has asthma he said no and walked us to the door soooo grateful. Once inside are seats where so close they we were uncomfortable and the usher indicated that we can talk to someone on the lower level and they accommodate us to better seats Love It , Love it that such a dope experience. The show was amazing the staff went above & behind so that each person would have a good experience now I know where to sit in the future.

I recently attended an almost sold out concert at The Orpheum theater in Madison WI. (capacity 1750). The line for security bag checks was out the door, down the block, around the corner, into the parking garage. It took more than 20 minutes to clear security. We missed the start of the show. We were seated in the 6th row. Thought these were best possible seats when I bought them. WRONG. Our seats were extremely narrow, crowded, and uncomfortable. Rows were so tight to each other you could barely get in or out of the row without everyone else having to move. The seats were like stacking chairs. They had no arms to define your space. We will never again book these “prime “ seats. The actual theater seating further back may possibly be more comfortable. The seats looked wider. The acoustics and lighting were excellent. Exiting at the end of the show was excruciatingly slow, having 1750 guests file out past the Merch table. It felt very claustrophobic and would be unsafe in the event of an emergency.

Beautiful old style theater. Saw Alison Krauss and Union Station from mid way up in the balcony which was just fine for a concert.

We've been here twice now to see comedians. Once in the front row and once in the balcony and both experiences were great. I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it's an easy walk to hotels and restaurants.

Been to the Orpheum for several shows. I have always found it to be a positive experience. Getting through security was easy, and quick. The lobby can get a little busy and crowded (nothing new there). If you are planning to buy alcohol, you get your wrist strap ahead of time. There's a place to get merchandise, and that can get a bit congested. Plenty of folks to help you get to your seats. For this show we were front row balcony (which I feel is the best spot in the entire place). The seats are a little dated, narrow, and might benefit from being restuffed. The acoustics were good, but not great but certainly better than most large venues (i.e. Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee). I would definitely come again.
