My wife and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary at The Abner, and we couldn't have been happier. We were looking for a one-night stay during a short road trip, and while many of the other boutique hotels required a two-night minimum, The Abner was the perfect fit. Julio was wonderful to work with from the start, and every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They even accommodated our 8-month-old puppy, Bandit, with a thoughtful welcome gift waiting in the room. We stayed in the Chamber Suite, which was beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly quiet. The hotel itself is full of character, and spending time strolling through the charming town of Litchfield made the trip even more memorable. If you're looking for a unique boutique hotel with exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend The Abner. We can't wait to return.

I LOVED my stay !! My stay at the The Abner Hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel completely at home. Every single person I interacted with was genuinely kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. That level of hospitality is rare and made my stay incredibly memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what made the experience so special was the people. Their warmth and attentiveness created an atmosphere that felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. The surrounding town is absolutely magical. It feels like you've stepped back in time in the best possible way—peaceful, charming, and full of small-town character. It's the perfect place to slow down and unwind. The restaurant was fantastic as well, with a romantic atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a relaxing weekend away or a romantic getaway, I can't recommend The Abner Hotel enough. I left already looking forward to my next visit.

We just stayed 3 nights and were extremely pleased. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We were able to check in early and they let us extend our check-out by an hour. The coffee was good; the breakfast offerings were muffins and fruit but nice to have on hand. The staff was great, polite and helpful. The location is good, right on the green in Litchfield. Easy parking. We would stay here again. (The rooms do not have tv, a plus for us, but good wi-fi.)

We had a wonderful weekend at The Abner Hotel. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. It was nice at the end of the day to have a cocktail in the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. I look forward to our next stay.

We hosted a group of 10 at the Abner this spring for several days. Really had a special time, everyone loved it. A few highlights... First the hotel itself is beautiful. Cozy, spacious, great rooms, lots of character and history and so quiet. Everyone commented on how well they slept. The staff was another highlight, they also had great ideas of what else we could do in the area and filled us in on the history. The service also exceeded our expectations. We had most of our meals at the hotel and they went out of their way to sort our special requests and delivering really standout meals (egg salad and bread... amazing). We also really liked using the Lockup as a meeting space for 10 of us... the location really was unique and toasty with the electric fireplace. We loved staying at the Abner and look forward to spending more time there and enjoying the rooftop bar. Thanks Chuck and Tom!
