Tony, the bartender, receives the recognition he truly deserves. My intention was to grab a quick meal before heading home, but I ended up staying much longer because of Tony who was the bartender. In addition to offering excellent recommendations and demonstrating great skill behind the bar, his kindness, personality, and genuine hospitality completely transformed my evening. Having spent over 20 years in the hospitality industry, I can say with confidence that true hospitality cannot be taught—it is something innate, and Tony absolutely embodies it. Our conversation flowed so naturally that it felt like I was catching up with an old friend. He made me feel sincerely welcome, which is increasingly rare and deeply appreciated. While the food was, as always, excellent, my experience at the bar with Tony was one of the best service experiences I have had in many years. He is an outstanding asset to your team, and I hope this message is shared with him, as he truly deserves to hear it. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The apps were outstanding - street corn , beet salad & chips with guac. The entrees were above average, burria tacos, chili relenos and chicken mole. Top notch Margarita as well. The service was ok, but an upgrade in that department would help to match the beautiful atmosphere food that asks you to come back and try something else. Overall worth a visit.

The food and atmosphere were top notch. The service was lacking. Our waiter was busy bussing tables. It was cinco fe Mayo when we visited for dinner. Our waiter told us to order apps and dinner together since the kitchen was so busy. BUT our food came out right away. I think the poor waiter was overwhelmed since it was busy. We will be back. *Try the Margaritas!

La Catrina of Bantam offers a refreshing take on Mexican cuisine that blends authenticity with elegance. The food is genuinely delicious and full of authentic flavors — every bite feels thoughtfully prepared and true to its roots. What really sets this place apart is the ambiance. The decor is light, simple, and stylish, giving it an upscale feel without being overdone. I especially loved the chairs — they add a unique charm to the dining experience. The wall art and photography are visually striking and add character to the space. It feels like every detail was intentionally chosen to elevate the overall vibe. This isn’t your typical Mexican spot — it’s clearly designed to be a more refined experience, and the location and tasteful interior reflect that. Naturally, the pricing matches the look and feel. It’s on the higher end, but you’re paying for quality, atmosphere, and attention to detail. If you're looking for a more elevated Mexican dining experience, La Catrina of Bantam is definitely worth visiting.
