Sunday services, Messianic services, and a well-stocked bookstore
A friend invited me to a friday evening messianic jewish Shavuot service. I was very pleasantly surprised by an immersive experience of peace and freedom... with subdued lighting and melodic expressions of worshipful call and response. It wonderfully drew me in. Feel the love and the joy. God IS good!
The Lord’s Presence rests heavy here. I attend on Saturdays during the messianic service at 10:45. It is worth the 45 min drive. Rabbi Peter has poured into my life, more than he may realize. The Lord has used Rabbi to deepen my understanding of how the Lord sees me as His perfect Son, how to walk in the fullness of Jesus’ life. I have been able to remain filled with the joy of the Lord through this beautiful ministry. A lovely family here.
I love to listen to music. I also love to sing along with the words on the screen up top at the sanctuary. And I also love their food there.
I am not familiar with the actual church services, but the bookstore in the basement is massive (well for a used bookstore in a classic New England Church basement) as well as amazingly well organized. The selection goes far beyond what I assumed a church would have; I got many Buddhist and Taoist books, for instance. The prices were bizarrely cheap- many great titles for a buck or two. I am not sure if they always do fill-a-basket sales, but when I was there, we filled one of children’s books for $10 and general materials for $20. Highly recommended! I will be back!
Best books to choose from downstairs on Fridays 11-2? and Sundays 12-3. Best customer service too.
