Elegant rooms in restored Tudor-style lodging, plus a restaurant and bars
5 star resort. Stayed at the Carriage House which is with the Kohler Waters Spa. Everything was amazing! Highly recommend! The Spa amenities were first class all the way. Ate at Blackwolf restaurant. Do not miss this gem!! Would return again for sure. A+ all across the board.
A nice lodge but perhaps ready for some upgrades. There's a balance between history, legacy, and modern expectations. Our $170 steak was marginal in quality. The room was cave like with minimal windows. We would stay in their Inn again next time - closer to the gym, better breakfast options, better room, and better value.
Dann at reception at the Carriage House is absolutely incredible. Outstanding service from check in to dinner reservations. We had been to all properties by the company and we wanted to finish our night at the Wisconsin room for dinner because it was highly recommended to us. Upon getting there we were told we cannot be sat due to short staffing issues. We went back to Carriage House and Dann personally walked over to the other property to secure us a spot for dinner. Absolutely incredible service. We had a really long day and Dann turned everything around for us. Not once but multiple times. We will be back because of him!!
My husband and I are a sucker for a historic hotel and when thinking of a place to celebrate my birthday, I suggested The American Club! We have been to the hotel before to eat at some of the restaurants, but staying was a whole different experience, truly 5 stars. This is a great place to celebrate any special occasion, they make you feel so special from the moment you walk in. The front desk went over all the amazing amenities the hotel has to offer, and we were even able to check in early, which was so nice. It gave us time to get refreshed before heading out to explore. The hotel is large and feel like you could easily get lost in the halls. The library area has little bits of history throughout, and the hotel even hosts a historic hotel tour if you're interested in learning more. Each room has its own little touch of history too, which I loved. We stayed in a Superior King Room and it had a great amount of space and a plush king bed, a beautiful bathroom with a double vanity, whirlpool tub, and a large shower, plus a wet bar area, plush robes... the list goes on. They even had a large coffee table book with Kohler Company history and vintage Kohler advertisements, which was such a fun decor touch. The turndown service was the cherry on top! They left me a thoughtful birthday note and go our room ready for a us, a nice luxury touch! The shuttle service is so nice to explore just about anything and there are so many amenities we didn't take advantage of like the morning yoga or gym. I cant stop recommending a stay here if you can make it work, its a luxury experience. Throughout our stay we explored the hotel and the different courtyards, restaurants, and the Kohler area and we cant wait to be back!
If I could give this dreamy location more stars I would. The service is exceptional from start to finish. We stayed for three nights, explored the property, and treated ourselves to the spa. Everyone here truly pays attention to every detail to ensure you have the most incredible stay. extra shout out to Aaron and Alex who truly went above and beyond!
