Very nice to see the fall autumn leaves change and it's a well maintained trail location basically if you want to go to destress and enjoy some time with natural beauty it's definitely worth the time and everything else involved. If I had not worked the day prior to my trip out there I would have spent a lot more time but as I did not start my trip out there until midday and it's a two hour drive from home there wasn't much time to hike before sun down as it's around 5-6 and depending on where you are in the trails you don't want to get caught in the forestry after nightfall a deal with the position of possible things like miss steps causing injuries and the like. Lots of nests and animals and wildlife wish I would have been wise enough to remember to take some pictures.

Started the trail off hwy H. The field portion was fine. The grass had been cut recently. However, when walking thru the woods portions, the mosquitos were horrendous. Probably better to do this hike early spring or late fall. This was only reason for 4 stars.

I stopped here for a quick break while hiking the Ice Age Trail. The trail to the south is much more picturesque than the one to the north, (but the shelter as well as a water pump are in that direction). Plenty of parking here.

If you're headed south on the Ice Age Trail (IAT) this is an excellent parking lot. If you're headed North on the IAT drive about a minute or two East and there's another parking lot to the North of the road. Otherwise you'll have to cross a fairly busy bridge with no shoulder.
