I was in town on my own for a short time and decided to check out this little brewery. It did not disappoint. The beer was awesome, and the brewer was actually behind the bar. He was very accessible and open to chatting about the beer. The other bartender there was also very kind and conversational. In addition, it was a great atmosphere. Beautiful custom bar, top and tables and games for patrons were available. I had a great time! Disclaimer: this place does not serve food. My food rating is based on the beer, which is five stars.

Great selection of beverages and food. Really nice, helpful staff! The indoor decor really great, but if it's a nice day outside, you have to take advantage of the patio seating outdoors.

First time there. They recently (6 mons.) started brewing their own beers. Lots of house-brewed selections and guest taps. We had a turkey sandwich and minestrone soup - both were very good. The outside patio overlooks the Rubicon River and waterfall upstream. It looked like a nice outdoor space (too cold to sit outside when we were there).

So glad we discovered this place! Beautifully restored historic building on the water in downtown Hartford. Our bartender/waitress was attentive and friendly. Cribbage competition was lively. Food was tasty. Love the illuminated bar. We will be back.

My husband and I stopped in here for an early dinner and bourbon! The bourbon selection is extensive and includes some rare finds we were excited to try. We were able to chat quite a bit with the bartender who also brews beer himself and chose the bar's bourbon barrel pick! Great guy, very knowledgeable. I had the buffalo chicken potato skins and chicken enchilada soup-both were top notch but I will be dreaming of those potato skins are a siren song that will be luring me back for more visits in the future! They host trivia as well, I'd love to check it out some time soon. Overall a welcoming place, family friendly, with good food and great bourbon and beer selections.
