Spectacular! Amanda was our server. She was beyond. Personality and knowledge on the cuisine a solid 10. The food was melt in your mouth good. The ricotta agnolotti was by far the best dish I've had in a long time. Crudo ✨ amazing. Views were incredible. Even the manager took her time to recommend some Cognac and Rye that we both loved. Got a lot of special treatment. It went a long way. 5 stars all around.

My hubby made reservations for my birthday and it was our first time at The Foundry. The view was absolutely lovely, sometimes to the point of distraction because I am a cloud lover and I felt like I could reach out and touch them. The decor and atmosphere were top notch and the service from Amanda and AJ was exceptional - gold stars for sure 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 In my humble opinion the descriptions of both the cocktails and the dinner menu selections weren’t very accessible - they obfuscated what the ingredients were or what the dish or cocktail actually was so you couldn’t readily envision what you were ordering without asking quite a bit of questions. Yes, as diners (and we’re foodies) we love a unique menu with distinct flavor profiles or creative pairings, but this went a bit far for my tastes. Maybe folks who are a bit more swanky would better navigate the menu 😊. I also think that if I order a duck breast it should be half a duck breast (not a quarter like I was served) and it should be accompanied with more than purées and sides that lean more towards garnishes (rhubarb and fennel). Certainly a venue for a special location, but those are the considerations I would offer up where the menu is concerned.

Another unforgettable meal at The Foundry, by far the best restaurant in the area. Every dish was incredible and the service was impeccable, as always. Every cocktail we ordered was excellent and the wine list is incredibly thoughtful. l could not recommend this restaurant more highly!

We had the tasting menu and loved it! We were worried that as big eaters, would we still be hungry but that was not the case. It was the perfect amount of food and everything was divine. We can’t wait to return for round 2!

The atmosphere is gorgeous, offering stunning nighttime views of the highways and the Capitol Building. For the chefs counter tasting menu, who spent $500+ we were underwhelmed. Unfortunately, the menu felt uninspired, appearing to play it safe with little effort to push comfort zones or culinary boundaries. Expect to leave hungry—we enjoyed the duck, which was the true standout of the evening, though the supplementary caviar course was also tasty. Service was underwhelming, lacking both warmth and depth, and at times felt cold and condescending. Our server tainted the experience since we heard him speaking ill about us and other guest through the open kitchen expo. It often seemed performative, with staff demonstrating limited knowledge of the dishes and repeatedly needing to consult the kitchen about basic ingredients. Overall, it’s a safe choice for something local, with undeniably outstanding Connecticut views.
