About
Cafe Brazil Bakery is a Brazilian bakery in Hartford. We open early and serve a variety of bakery items throughout the day, including Brazilian specialties like Pastel De Nata.
Our team bakes fresh items daily, and we are open until late evenings every day of the week.
Today was my second time visiting, and I loved it. The staff are always friendly and helpful in explaining the deserts, especially to someone like me who is new to Brazilian food. Both of the times I have visited, they had gotten someone who speaks English to converse with me and explain the deserts. I love the Pastel De Nata.

I feel like I just got ripped off. Went in on a Tuesday at 4pm, no one there but me. I got 6 wings and a pint of beef stew to go, that's it, $38! Their wings are typically great, not fried, rotisserie grilled but thos time they were dry and lacked flavor. I only go every few months because the cost is prohibitive but I don't think I'll ever be back now.

We were really excited to visit Café Brazil Bakery after seeing all the great reviews about how nice and welcoming the staff were. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite.
When we walked in on September 15th around 8 PM, the staff didn’t seem welcoming at all. We had no issue with the fact that they didn’t speak English — we used Google Translate a couple of times and were happy to work with that. But instead of trying to engage with us, they turned their faces away and acted as if they didn’t want to have a conversation.
When I asked about prices for a couple of items, the response was dismissive: “Even if I spoke your language, I wouldn’t be able to tell you prices for all.” I wasn’t asking for all, just a couple. Then, when I tried to ask a follow-up about the flavor of something, they again turned away mid-conversation.
It was disappointing and sad to have this experience, especially at a place that looks like it serves great food. Service matters just as much as quality, and this visit left us with a very negative impression.

First time in a Brazilian bakery and the lady upfront was very nice and helped me pick out 2 frituras típicas brasileñas, one chicken and cheese the other ham and cheese with 2 café con leche pequeños. Did not disappoint and I loved the textures and the flavor, super homely environment.
