Went hiking with my 3 yr old to see the waterfall and lake and he loved it. Nice and quiet, but be sure to bring bug spray since some wet areas are bad with mosquitoes.

China Lights this year were breathtaking! Always a joy to bring the famliy here and enjoy all the creativity. My kids go wild for this event every year.

I used to live a block away from Whitnall Park and I took my children there often to hike and play on the jungle gym. I returned some 25 years later and found the park to be equally beautiful and entertaining. It’s been well maintained. The Botanical Gardens and the Nature Center trails are beautiful and relaxing as ever. I just wish they would allow dogs. Most people who take their pets on adventures are responsible enough to train them and pick up after them. My dogs go almost everywhere with me and I’m glad to see more and more pet friendly stores, restaurants, and parks/beaches. Get with it, Milwaukee!!! Whitnall Park gets 4 stars. I would give 5 if they allowed pets.
