Offering a wide selection of wine, beer, and spirits
If you are going in with a group of minorities expect to have the employees card all of you. Didn’t hear them needing ids for the group of white people in the other lane. All of us being 24 and over. Manager stated it’s not a state law, it’s a store preference i.e when he feels up to racially profiling I guess.
11 customers waiting for two lines to move. 8 minutes later, a third employee opens another register. Four people that joined the lines later than me go over there and they all checked out before the employee in my lane registered my four single beers. The kicker is, not one apology, and not one comment saying thanks for waiting. I’m sure the employees are nice, but wow, that is a massive fail and certainly makes me not ever want to return to this location.
I've been living in milwaukee for 6 yrs now and ive always wanted to visit this store but never have. There was a tequila i wanted to try and literally nobody had it but them. The staff helped me with no problem, not only to find the tequila but also a red wine. I will be coming back over and over again.
Been here a few times and have always been impressed with this selection, organization and staff. The layout is relatively easy to find what you are looking for. And if you need help, there are usually staff wandering around looking to help out customers. Most times that I have been there, they are having either tastings or samples of different products. These might be in-store personnel or the vendor reps. Always knowledgeable about the different products. The checkouts are pretty efficient, and I have always found them staffed with pleasant "people" people. They have a loyalty program, and is helpful to save a few bucks on your purchases. I don't always come here (it's a bit out of my way), but when I do I know that they are likely to have what I am looking for.
Pretty standard iteration of total wine. The prices are lower than most area stores. They are the fox books of alcohol. Call me silly… But I normally get more joy out of shopping at the shop around the corner.
