Wow are the reviews about bad service are right. I attempted to call, got put on hold right away, no one picked up, I got disconnected. So I went in, the lady at the window goes “oh great he brought a baby” I ask about depositing coins (because the website says I can here) the lady at the desk scofs at me and tells me they cant accept them here. I responded with wow all the bad reviews are correct, she scofs again as im walking out.
Customer service 1*. Knowledge 0*. Lazy manager? -10*. Don’t know which institution they got their education from, I would guess a bubble gum machine. I surely didn’t feel like I was in a suburb.
Went in today to open an account with someone who is a long standing customer. Was told we needed to schedule an appointment to do this. NEVER in my 53 years have I needed an appointment to open a bank account anywhere. We needed to open it urgently as social security was waiting on an account number,etc to help with benefits as well as we explained that we would not be able to get back here easly due to not driving. We left and went down the street to open an account very easily and was welcomed warmly, unlike here. Huntington did not care about pleasing a customer.
I called the branch several weeks ago to schedule a time to open an account. During business hours, their phone went to voicemail. About a week later, they called me back. However, I was at work and could not take the call. Their message did not answer my simple questions about opening an account , instead, told me to call back. Which I did, just to get voicemail during normal business hours. I left a message, and have never heard back after several weeks. I called their corporate customer service twice during business hours, the initial operator put me hold until eventually disconnecting me. No one ever picked up. I'm guessing they don't want to get new customers?
I’ve banked with TCF for the past few years until Huntington took over. They’re alright so far. I went into this location today to cash in my daughter’s change and was pretty bummed to find out that they no longer offer the coin machine. I would’ve thought since there is/was a national coin “shortage” they would still offer that. Instead they give you coin rolls and you have to go home and roll them yourself and bring your change back in. The rolls aren’t the easiest to use either. They’re not the traditional coin rolls and I find it a bit more difficult to fold the rolls on the ends 😕 On the brighter side, I do like the 24 hour atm. I like that you can withdraw in increments of 5. You also have the option to choose how you get your money back. You can choose to get it in fewest bills possible or you can customize and choose maybe all five dollar bills, or some five dollar bills and some tens and so on.
