Explore a 0.7-mile loop trail through a Greenfield nature preserve
The definition of a hidden gem! It's amazing this is here! Feels much bigger than it appears. I found unrestricted parking on the eastbound side of Ramsey near the southeast corner of the preserve. The trails are easy to follow, but know there are a few interconnected loops and I found it easy to get turned around (in a fun way). I went during a rain storm, so I can't speak for how the road noise is. Pretty buggy in August, so come prepared.
The path is a loop about 0.7 miles, pleasant and not hard.
My expectations were low after looking it up online but I was pleasantly surprised. Once you get towards the middle all you can hear is the sound of nature and not the nearby roads. The main entrance is at the corner of Ramsey and 43rd. There is also an unmarked entrance further west on Ramsey and at the end of 45th. The entrance at 45th leads to a stream that is difficult to cross. Although the path is not marked there are branches lining the route which is mostly one big loop.
