Terrible experience. A very distracted and rude librarian, male with glasses, working the resource desk; huffed and puffed when I disturbed him from ironically reading a book. Very short and dismissive when asked for help with copies.
Wouldn't have to write this review if I wasn't harassed, constantly by the white caucasian liberian guy on 08/01/2026. I've been coming to this library for years. And I have not had not one issue that's the only reason why I come to this library is because it's quiet and I don't have an issue.But on this particular day, i'm not sure if he was new.Or he was just racist, which I feel like he came off racist, to me because you thought I was doing something that I wasn't, and then you tried to outcast me in front of me. The people that was in the library by saying that I was sleeping . And then he kept coming over numerous of times by my computer. Seeing if I was sleep but I had my head down because I was on my phone. I just didn't like the fact that he kept coming over by my computer and yes, he was harassing me, I don't think I will be back, and if I do be back, and if he says something to me, i'm going to have some choice words with him
A very decent library the only issue that I have is way too many areas that are noisy versus a quiet study space that is very tiny now. People being on their phones loudly is a huge issue and it's acceptable throughout the second floor in most of the first making it undesirable to study in and given that study rooms are only 2 hours makes it even worse.
It's nice and quiet here and also the staff is really good I was able to do an interview and have peace and quiet while I got mentally prepared
This library is a great place to do work, hang out or join in one of the many activities. They have preschool story time, teen movie night, a cribbage club and both adult and teen craft classes. Some with registration. The library has a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. There are different areas located upstairs and downstairs for both working/talking with a group on a project and quiet work areas. There are many tables and desks as well as comfy chairs to sit and relax. The children's dept has many books and activities. The library offers homework help for grade schoolers and teens while offering technology help for adults and older adults. They have an area with books for sale, a copy machine and small area with staplers and other supplies to use. There are many computers available for you to use. They have parking in front for 5 minutes returns using an automated book return machine. They also have a couple self-checkouts. On the way posted out the wall are many events going on in the library and in Greenfield in general. They have support groups and other groups. I would definitely recommend this library and use of the county cat app.
