Dining Review: Famous Dave's ​I recently visited Famous Dave's with high expectations for a good barbecue meal, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from the moment we walked in. ​The Atmosphere ​The first thing that hit us upon entering was a strong, unpleasant odor that smelled exactly like dirty mop water. It was incredibly off-putting and lingered throughout our entire stay, making it very difficult to enjoy the environment, let alone our appetites. ​The Service ​The service was equally subpar. Our waiter was not only rude—displaying a noticeable lack of interest in our table and an impatient attitude—but also strangely submissive when we tried to address the issues with our meal. It felt as though they were completely overwhelmed and unable to handle even basic requests, providing an experience that was both awkward and unhelpful. ​The Food ​When the food finally arrived, it was stone cold. It was clear that the dishes had been sitting out for quite some time before being brought to our table. Barbecue is meant to be enjoyed warm, and the temperature completely ruined the texture and quality of the meat and sides. ​Final Verdict ​I cannot recommend this location. Between the unhygienic smell, the poor service, and the cold, unappetizing food, it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as this level of quality is far from the standard one would expect.

I paid $75 (plus $5 tip) , for the amount of food shown in the picture, including what was supposed to be 2 pounds of brisket. I didn’t have a scale to confirm, but it honestly looked like less than expected. The brisket itself was mid, nothing memorable in terms of flavor or tenderness. The mac and cheese was okay, but the cornbread was definitely the highlight of the meal and the bbq sauce. Overall, not terrible, but for the price, I expected better quality and more generous portions. We were 2 adults and one 12 yo , it was not enough meat, you might need 3 pounds, one pound each $27 .

Extremely disappointed in the whole situation. For one I ordered my food online to be picked up at 2pm, I arrive at the location at 2:10pm and there’s no trace of my order, no one knows what’s going on. Finally at 230 they figured out the system canceled my order, for what reason? No explanation. So then I have to wait an additional 20 minutes to get the food that I ordered ahead of time. Finally we get the food, go home and try to dine in. The brisket was just fat, literally inedible. I fed it to my dogs because it was alll fat and no meat. The $4 I paid extra for the “pork”? That portion was a joke, literally a child’s plate. First and probably the last time I will ever try this place. The disrespectful attitudes & lack of caring really shows where your pride is at for this restaurant. Picture of the “pork” included.

This place was great! They changed it up a bit inside but it looks so much more inviting now. The staff was very friendly, the food was amazing and the cornbread was delicious! We ordered the full rack of ribs dinner for 2. The wedges were okay, the mac and cheese was very good and the ribs were very meaty and tasty! They have about 4 different BBQ sauces on the table that you can try with the ribs as well. With the cornbread, it was so good that we wanted to get some to go and luckily they have a pack of 5 or I think it was 16 for a very resonable price! We had a very nice evening overall and would love to come back again soon!
