When they were the Starr group they were great. After the acquisition customer service has gone down hill. It's very hard to get a hold of anyone. Renewal they are very unhelpful. Stay away now that they are Acrisure.

Derek K is very unprofessional. If you can’t get an insurance quote or not isn’t the issue. It’s ignoring calls and messages when a business has a very short window to get coverage. Wasted 3 months of our time. Not a good way to do business. Helpful at first but didn’t respect us to even let us know he couldn’t get coverage when it didn’t suit him.

What makes the Starr group great? Their team members.. When I call, and I do too often. I get a very kind, helpful, yes I can person on the other end of the phone. I don't think I have ever called and talked to any team member that they were just so so. I have had other ins. agencies handle my accounts over the years but I have gladly moved all my accounts to the stellar Starr team.

My husband and I could not be more happy with Starr Group and our insurance company, Western National. Our agent is Mary Kurth, she is a true gem at Starr, as is the staff we have communicated with at times when Mary was unavailable. Mary and her fellow agents have always responded in a timely manner, have integrity, and give empathy toward our concerns when it comes to claims, and needs for all of our insurance inquiries. The customer service is superior and we highly recommend them to entrust all of your insurance needs.

This is the most professional insurance agency I have ever worked with. The staff are very knowledgeable and always get my renewal done in a timely manner. They take the time to make sure I am covered for items I need and don't oversell on items I don't. I highly recommend The Starr Group.
