I like will, he is a great guy. He has so many things from his personal collection for sale here. Like the selection of fresh frozen foods and goodies here sold. They reasonably priced when it comes down to it, even though it is used food. I really like the indoor area with the clothing, makes me want to pop some tags. I went here with 20 dollars in my pocket and came out with a good will. Thank you

Edit: Goodwill Corporate followed up with me via email. They handled everything in a timely manner. This was originally a 4 star review but I’m changing to 5 star. Thank you. ———— I don’t like leaving lower star reviews unless I have to but I feel it’s warranted. The workers here are great, my interaction is with management that soured me. I came yesterday and made a purchase. I paid with credit card. The transaction processed and I signed. Then before the employee could print a receipt the register crashed. They had to unplug it and plug back in to hard restart it. When it came up I was told my credit card needed to be processed again. I said it processed and I signed. They insisted and said “if there’s a double charge, come back tomorrow and my manager will fix it. But your refund will probably be cash.” So today I’m at Chase Bank conducting another transaction and notice in my register I was charged twice. Chase said I can call card customer service or I can talk to goodwill management. I shop at the Grafton goodwill location once a week average. I run my own technology business in Mequon and I’m a volume buyer for nonprofit organizations I work with. I’m not a stranger by any means. Some employees know me by first name. I elected to drive up thinking it was a glitch and it would be handled. Except it wasn’t. The manager told me he wouldn’t do anything about it unless I waited 4 days and made another trip out. I needed to bring official banking documentation and none of this can be done over the phone. I tried remaining calm but this managers customer service style was just rude. I literally couldn’t speak without being shutdown. I couldn’t get a word out. “I’ve been in retail 25 years so this is what’s going to happen and that’s just the way it is.” Well I’ve been running my tech company since 1997 and if I spoke to my clients this way I’d be unemployed so fast. But I kept that part to myself. Maybe he’s having the worst day and just wants to go home? So now we wait. And I make another trip up to see if I have enough proof for their liking to do anything. But he made it very clear my time was unimportant and any inconvenience was just how it is. No apology, no sorry our equipment does this sometimes. I shop at many different area Goodwill locations. This whole “our register just froze/crashed” seems to be a big issue at Grafton. I’ve seen it happen a bunch of times but not so much other locations. I had a similar issue 4 years ago at Oakland Ave east Milwaukee location. They reset the register and walked to their back office and verified it was processed. Then walked back and said everything is good and it was. But I’ve never seen equipment go down so much as it has at Grafton. I hope they get it fixed.

This has to be the most impressive goodwill I’ve seen in all my travels! It smells like cleaning products, the air feels fresh and everything was perfectly organized! Kudos to the employees, management AND shoppers!
