What a fun tour! Loretta was our tour guide. She was enthusiastic. The entire staff was friendly and cheerful. We upgraded to be able to try non standard offerings on the tour and I’m glad we did. My teenager enjoyed the sodas.
I’ve been on a lot of brewery tours while traveling, and this one absolutely takes the crown. If you get Christian (“The OG”) as your tour guide, consider yourself lucky. Between the dad jokes, imaginary points, and prizes. I laughed from beginning to end. His jokes about the different states everyone was from were hilarious, surprisingly accurate, and had the whole tour cracking up. I came for the Root Beer…and Beer tastings ….I stayed for the comedy. What really impressed me was that the tour wasn’t just entertaining—it was incredibly informative. Christian did an amazing job sharing the history of Sprecher, explaining how their world-famous Root Beer and craft beers are made, and telling stories that actually stick with you. That’s rare. Most brewery tours are fun while you’re there; this is one you’ll still be talking about afterward. Ironically, I’ve been to Sprecher before (because, let’s be honest, you can’t come to Milwaukee and skip the world-famous Root Beer), but the tour was full. This time I finally got to experience it, and it was well worth the wait. The Root Beer samples were fantastic, the beer was delicious, and Christian deserves a raise…or at the very least a lifetime supply of Sprecher Root Beer for keeping us entertained. One final tip: if you want “The OG” as your tour guide, plan your visit during summer break—he’s an algebra teacher the rest of the year! I guess that’s why he keeps score with imaginary points…math teachers really do have a formula for everything. If you’re thinking about taking the tour, stop thinking and book it. Just make sure you ask for Christian “The OG.” Your imaginary points and prizes depend on it!
Very informative tour. Our guide, Greyson did a great job with all the details & answering questions. We enjoyed trying all the different sodas & beers. Met a lovely young woman from Ithaca,NY, in Milwaukee for a conference. We enjoyed our time. Very welcoming & friendly staff. Definitely will recommend to others, especially family visiting from out of town. Thank you Sprecher!!
This was my first time stopping at Sprecher Brewing and I was very impressed. We got there a little late for the tour but I want to go back and see that. We started out by each getting a five beer flight then got the giant pretzel and the "Curd your enthusiasm" pizza, which is from a local pizza shop called Flour Child. It was all good and the prices were reasonable. The gift shop had great prices as well. Seriously worth a stop if you need some Sprecher beer. I saw some people eating wings and drinking some of their dirty sodas so I might want to try those next time.
Actually fun for a day date or a non screen outing with the family. Took the brewery tour and relaxed in the tasting room afterwards. A cool local thing to do. Delicious selection of unique sodas and the best root beer you have ever had. German style beers too, so something for everyone. Totally gives Laverne and Shirley vibes. Recommended!
