Wonderful coffee shop in a cute, quaint and dainty historic building. Seems like there’s construction going on to the house building next to it to combine the 2 places. Even though it’s a small area, there’s a bar area to sit at and some more 2 seater tables and a few couches in the center. There’s also tables outside with umbrellas which are great during the summer!
I ended up getting a latte, nothing out of the ordinary, but the mango smoothie was good and was topped with real whipped cream.
Baked goods were also tasty.

Interesting location, right on one corner of a roundabout. It would be a difficult spot to access during busy hours, I’d assume, as people getting off of roundabout wouldn’t want to stop behind you as you’re trying to get into their parking lot. Thankfully, the road wasn’t busy when we came, and we didn’t run into this trouble at all. I’m just assuming, since roundabouts are made on roads that are busy during traffic hours.
The coffeeshop itself is quaint and cozy inside. Service was slow, as there was only one person working on making all the drinks, taking the orders, taking payments, and getting food out. There were only 2 people ahead of us, but it took a while for us to get an acknowledgment for being there, as she was working hard on making the drinks for them.
Our group mostly stuck with regular coffee, and the cafe uses Stone Creek Coffee. The latte was good and creamy. Vibes inside were cozy and warm on a cold December day. And the neighborhood was nice! All the other visitors in the cafe were so nice!
Show moreReally good coffee. We were looking for a place to stop and grab some coffee to go, and we found this place. We got a small, iced white mocha and a medium roast coffee. We came in late morning, and although a few people were there, we were served right away. Drinks were delicious! The coffee house has its own parking lot and indoor and outdoor seating. It was very clean and looked new.
Show moreKaffehaus has been a surprising survivor considering its location. When they opened I thought it was a little too far off the beaten path to last. Coffee is good. They used to have fresh bakery (was missing on my last visit). The atmosphere is fantastic. Could definitely use a breakfast and lunch menu.
I know it’s family owned and I suspect they have a dedication to historic preservation…the structure is beautiful . I also suspect they have been involved, directly or indirectly, with the rehabilitation of the surrounding site and properties. There was a horrible, dilapidated dive bar next door which thankfully has been closed for years. There is new construction and I’ve heard rumors that they’re opening a restaurant next door but that is unconfirmed (by me). There is also indication of a townhouse development to further improve the corner that may involve WEDC (there is a sign but I can’t find much info online).
