As a 20 year customer I can say this 5 star review is for the salon. I would give 10 stars to my stylist Lesley who is an absolute gem. She always gets me booked when I need, does a fantastic job, knows new products and cheerfully deals with my massive amount of hair. I consistently have people compliment and ask where I go. Great location, parking and customer service. I would never look anywhere else.
Such a professionally ran, respectfully staffed salon. I have been going here for years and have NEVER been let down. I have brought my sons' for their haircuts regularly. They are brilliant with all textures and are incredibly inclusive. The ladies at the front desk are always so friendly and Katrina is one of the best employees there. I recommend them highly for any ages.
I love Studio 890. Their customer service is impeccable. I’ve never been in a place that I feel so welcome by everyone. I definitely would recommend. I do not go to any other salon.
I absolutely love this salon! I’ve been seeing Jodi for about 2 years now, maybe even longer! She has never disappointed me once. I always leave feeling so satisfied with my visit and excited for the next! They also sell some of the best products that leave my hair feeling amazing! I highly recommend!
I have been coming to Studio 890 for a few years now the Salon itself- super modern, clean, and chic. I went in for a color and cut by Nikki since I am going on vacation in a couple of weeks. This was my second consult with her as my previous hairstylist was no longer with them. I never had a horrible experience with them like I did this past week. I informed her I wanted to incorporate more blond as my ends were still light brown and showed her a picture of what I wanted. I also explained how I wanted my haircut, trim my ends only with long layers and face framing. Nikki started placing foils in my hair and started the lighting process. You can not place foils and bleach however and expect good results. When lighting process was done my ends were still left brown and she stated she couldn’t get that hair lightened. Toner was placed and the color I was left with was a dark gray, white, ash blond color with brown ends. I believe the color was even darker than what I had prior to coloring. In the past I would look at a couple of swatches before toner was placed. We started the haircut and she proceeded to shear off the brown ends thinning my hair out BADLY. I have the smallest ponytail now as she really did cut off all my hair. I was left with a mullet on the back and missing the front length to my hair. I came in 2 days later to try and correct (last 4 pictures) and went with a darker blond hoping to get rid of the different tones. D was the sweetest and really truly wanted to help, but my hair was passed saving as the haircut couldn’t be fixed. I was advised to let it grow back and to come back to get haircut corrected. I consulted with Tim (Owner) wishing to be refunded as this experience was so upsetting. He believed this to be a miscommunication, I did not agree as I explained to Nikki and even showed her a picture. He informed me no refund would be issued do to policy, I was left feeling really terrible after that conversation. I will have to continue to wear a beanie and my hair in a clip as this does not grow over night and will be looking for a new hair salon. The first picture was how my hair looked going into consult and second was the first color I was left with. I don't even care what color my hair is anymore, this haircut has left me so traumatized.
