Was driving through and wanted to try a sandwich. Had the pesto chicken, pretty good! They have free samples where you order as well. Not a huge area to sit though.

First time here. Food: I stopped in expecting to have a hot beverage and a pastry. There were lots of great food choices, including breakfast egg sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, soups, cookies, muffins, and other pastries. I decided on a Turtle Scone, and it was excellent. It had a great texture, was a good size, and had yummy chocolate frosting. The beverage selection was disappointing. There were only a couple of hot coffee choices, with no specialty drinks or lattes like some of their other locations offer. I ended up having water, which just isn't the way to enjoy a scone. Service: The person taking my order was efficient, but not especially friendly. When I commented on the limited hot-drink options, I got a shrug and silence. There didn't seem to be much interest or empathy. Atmosphere: The place is nicely laid out, and the menu board is easy to read. The pastries and cookies are displayed up front, making it easy to choose. There are several small tables where you can eat your selection, but the space seems designed more for takeout customers. I'd come back to pick up something to take home, but not really to dine in.

Stopped in for brunch, had one of the best bacon and egg sandwiches I've ever had. Also picked up a loaf of incredibly delicious cinnamon bread. Don't sleep on this place if you're in the area!

Charming bakery in a historic Elm Grove building—once part of the old Reinders general store and tavern from the 1800s. Fits the area’s plank-road history and small-village layout. Salted caramel cookies are excellent. Bread’s fresh daily, with cinnamon chip and honey wheat as standouts. Prices are high, but quality holds up. Parking gets tight when busy, which is pretty much standard for Elm Grove. Staff is friendly, and the sample tray is a nice extra. Solid local spot for bread and sweets.

The Cinnamon Crunch Bread is nothing short of amazing! Added with the cinnamon butter, such good flavor & fresh. Salted caramel cookie was the best cookie I've had in a long time. Everything is freshly baked on site. The sandwiches also looked amazing! Staff are phenomenal, friendly. When owners of an establishment roll up their sleeves to bake & work the store shows what kind of place it is. You need to visit, you will not be disappointed. So many goodies!
