Really not happy with my last experience. Was in yesterday 8/8 between 1115 & 1130. Ordered a regular original mac and a soda. Didn't get receipt to know my #. Register lady highly disengaged. Did not give me a receipt. Didn't know my #. Totally fine. I don't like people either. The dude b4 seemed to know he was waiting a bit and I saw my soda and sideways bag as Katie (i think) called my # (I think) But, get home, my Mac was missing its usual sauciness. I tipped my bowl with almost no sauce in the bottom to cover a singular noodle. Hmm. Generally I buy this to have 2 servings and the noodles soak up the delicious cheesyness and really pretty happy with both meals Today....im eating dry noodles. Just noodles. Eric, you can do better. And BTW, your service can and should be better.

I got broccoli mac and cheese and it tasted like it was thrown in the microwave and handed to me. It cost over $30 for me and my husband to eat here and it literally tasted like a microwave dinner. The mac and cheese was soupy, not thick or creamy at all. Some of the noodles were still kind of hard and not even covered in cheese. There was just a puddle of liquid cheese at the bottom of the bowl and it wasn’t even enough to cover the broccoli on top. The broccoli was super dry. For the price, just awful. I don’t know what’s happened over the years because 4 or 5 years ago I loved this place. I hope you can get some better ingredients or some better methods for making the food. I always love the atmosphere though and the custard lemonade was amazing.

Used to love this place, but I don’t know what happened. The staff seem incompetent now. Waited 45 minutes for a Mac and Cheese and it wasn’t that busy. Like maybe 20 people total inside, I’ve seen way busier and it used to run like a well oiled machine. Update: that’s quite an unprofessional response from the owner here. To clarify, I like many people, are far more likely to leave a review over a negative experience over a positive one. I have had many positive experiences in the past here, but I’m reviewing it based on recent experiences now in 2026. I ordered a very basic menu item that had an exceptionally long wait time. It tasted ok, but the quality was worse. The cheese is very milky and just pooled at the bottom. Everyone was waiting a long time for their food. I wasn’t alone in that. It’s just kind of weird behavior to get so defensive and accusatory after saying you take every review seriously.

Love the food at out and out. Our kids love the ice cream too. But the service sometimes isn’t the best. Most employees are very friendly but a few are unaware of their surroundings and don’t notice people standing around waiting to pick up their online orders. They also do not help people in order. For example, I was waiting for my pick up order for over 5 minutes. During that time, someone else came in after me to place an order at the register. The woman asked “who’s next” instead of checking who was waiting first. I had to speak up after that to ask for my order which was sitting on the shelf the entire time I was waiting. Unfortunately, my food was not warm when I got it home. Simply stating what I observed. I’ll continue to visit as I enjoy the food and people are typically nice there but would suggest some additional training for the employees.

Out & Out Catering / Eatery & Custard is a great experience. I was visiting relatives and had the opportunity to experience this incredible food establishment. We needed to bring food for a 5-year-olds birthday party, and he requested the mac and cheese from Out & Out. Never argue with a 5-year-old…you will lose. We placed our order online to expedite the process and were given a pickup time. We arrived a little after the lunch rush to pick up our phone order. I don't know when I have seen such an extensive menu of options. If you can't find it here I don't think you can find it anywhere. The staff was very helpful making sure that we had everything that we needed to make a birthday boy happy. We ordered a platter of wraps and mac and cheese. Love the options for protein with the wraps. The food was once again fresh and tasty. Everyone from a 2-year-old to an 80-year-old was happy. Not always an easy task. If you live in this area or nearby this is definitely a place to utilize. I can't wait till I come back. I have mac and cheese and custard memories.
