I love this place. I should have been getting my hair cut here since the beginning. I used to as a kid and then foe some reason stopped. I started again when the last place screwed my hair up. I'll never go anywhere else again.

I love Lynette! She does an awesome job and listens to what I want. Prices are reasonable and its not like other places that try to get as many customers in on a given day! I will travel 40 mins to go to her since we moved!

I have been carefully considering how to review this place, and hope I can do my thoughts justice. This is a fine place to get a haircut. Service is good, and the ladies do a very good job of cutting and styling your hair. They are friendly and polite as well. Good luck getting an appointment!! We moved to the tiny community of Cedar Grove last year (perhaps that is the problem - Johnny Come Lately!), and I have tried several times to get an appointment for either myself, or my daughter. They can never seem to get you in until at least a week out, maybe longer. Once, I was able to get an appointment within two days; the rest of the times I heard excuses. "We are booked solid with weddings"; "we are booked solid with graduations"; "one of the staff left and I we are short staffed". These are the usual responses I have received as explanations for why my daughter has to wait a week or ten days for an appointment. Really?! I do not wish to question the veracity of the reasons they give for the lack of available appointments, but I do find it hard to believe that in such a tiny community as Cedar Grove the local hair salons are this busy. There are two other salons in town: one is never open, and the other is apparently just as busy as this one. Shear Imagination have obviously developed a very devoted, loyal, and frequent local clientele. They are likely thriving on this business and do not need mine. As I said, they do a good job, but it is not so good that it is worth waiting a week on or more to get in. I suggest the fifteen minute drive to Deer Trace in Kohler where Great Clips will give you a nice haircut within one hour (at worst) of your unannounced arrival at their door. If you are graduating or getting married, and need a fancy hairdo, you will do well here (just call a week ahead at least to get in). If you are just a guy who needs a haircut, or have a daughter who needs her bangs trimmed, you will do fine, and likely be served much quicker, somewhere else. I wrote this review based on my personal experiences with Shear Imagination. There are many locals who obviously love this place, so take this review as you will.
