Lakeside park with two swimming beaches, a fishing pier, and nature trails
Not really dog friendly hiking trails. Paths aren't clearly marked everywhere. Roads were marked well. Bathrooms we visited were clean. Camping looked good but we weren't there for that. It would be cool to see more actual hiking trails in the future through the woods for people and dogs.
Absolute nightmare at the launch. People blocking you in. Pull up to trailer your boat and People just swing right in to launch. People cutting in front of you to load your boat. Too many pleasure boaters. People cussing each other out on the ramp. Won't be coming here again.
NOT really Dog friendly but in 1 beach area to the right side of beach area. As well as Just Walkway of beaches. Not all trails are pet allowed. Read rules of dogs being left unattended. Dogs are Not allowed on BEACH area OR GRASS area in any other areas BUT pet area! Pet Picnic is just a deadend round about and restrooms. Dogs must stay on leash at all times and look up their rules about leash size. Bring own water! Bubblers don't work. Sink water was cold and okay for dog. No beach water access for pets. Please read the rules for pets. 7pm PETS have to be IN CAMP SITE! 12$ daily pass plus fees. Dog area does have some shade and picnic tables. No view of water unless you sit on the edge of limited signs. Okay place for dog on a windy day otherwise shade is limited. No trashes around so take trash and dog businesses with you.
Beautiful. They have a boat launch that is easy to launch a kayak or canoe. The 2 beaches are well maintained. The campsites are nice size and are not stacked on top of each other. You have a little privacy when you camp. If you have bikes bring them. Lots of hiking. Just a wonderful place.
I will def be back! But note taken..do NOT camp in 600s if you want true peace and quiet…too close to the RVs. Some jack wagon brought a tv set up to watch outside..then had a crying baby..they were lat nighters too. I was limited on sites with trees for my hammock set up but now I know..rather sleep on the ground at that point! There’s so many sites though! They’re very pretty..and mostly private. The bike trail is pretty, takes you to Mauthe Lake. Didn’t realize I was by the coveted cinnamon roll guy! Cannot wait for those in the am 🤗 Ps. Cinnamon rolls are amazing 🤩
