Avoid this location, go 5 minutes up the road to the Falls Village one if you want actual service. The handful of times I have gone to the North Canaan post office, I instantly regret it. Today, I tried to ship a very light box (under 5lbs) to Albany (one hour away) and the man at the counter wanted to charge me $50. On top of paying for their PREPAID box. Then I had an envelope to ship to Canada and he charged me $17. I’ve shipped multiple things throughout my life and never have I ever paid anything remotely close to this. After trying to give this location a few chances, I’d rather make the drive elsewhere.

Very nice and clean atmosphere. Great staff members willing to help. It was my pleasure to visit here . I had some documents to mailing out abroad and the counter lady helped me very well with pricing and information/ knowledge. I will come back to this place again definitely. Thanks

I love the Canaan Post Office - the staff is helpful and friendly, and they have cheerfully helped me to pack and send many care packages through my son's college years. They always have a wonderful selection of stamps as well. Many thanks to Pearl and the entire team in Canaan for their great service!
