The atmosphere was great, spacious, relaxed and friendly. There is a selection of items for sale for hikers, an area where children can play and 3 sitting areas. The food was wonderful! I had yogurt with granola, blueberries and freshly sliced strawberries. There are two flavors of yogurt to choose from: vanilla, my personal favorite and also strawberry. The serving was twice the amount of what I expected to receive and delicious. A friend had a waffle and was said it was, “So good!” It was also fun to walk around to see the selection of products for sale by the shop: tee shirts, hats, maple syrup, Appalachian Trail Calendar with great pictures, a puzzle and other upscale gifts or souvenirs. Several hikers were present with more arriving when we left. Also families with children, singles and couples. Order at the counter and your food will be served to your table, pick up your beverages to the left of the cashier and please remember to bus your own table. Great food, great selection, great service, relaxed, spacious and a remarkable location! I will be returning soon and visiting when family comes to visit!

Stopped into this cafe after section hiking the AT. Sabrina was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and another woman Liz(?) came over for some friendly conversation as well. We got the crispy chicken sandwich, a grilled cheese, fries and hot tea. All of it was delicious! If we were local, we would definitely visit again. The staff, food and atmosphere were perfect.

This place is so good. Chicken & Waffles the best I had in forever. Also the coffee is great. Very hiker friendly and very close to the Appalachian Trail! And good prices. Thanks so much!! P.S. if you’re looking to attract more hikers, you should put some signage on the A.T. so people know how close it is! Also consider selling some key resupply items like ramen (the packs not the cups), MREs, water filters, butane, bandaids/first-aid, hard cheeses+salamis, IPA tall boys, loose single beers, etc. and stuff of that ilk. Bonus that most of this stuff takes up little space and never expires! Anyway this place rocks and any AT hiker should stop by.

This is a lovely, low key place for breakfast, lunch, or weekend brunch. For the handicap accessible entrance and parking, take the driveway to the left. It shares a back entrance with the Senior Center. I was pleased to see plenty of room between the tables, so the interior is accessible if you use a rollator or wheelchair. I will be back, with guests!

Despite what most of these “so called critics” have to say, the service was amazing!! Staff is very friendly and the chef is very talented. Making a vast variety of different dishes known to blow your socks off. Showing mastery in the field. As a fellow food reviewer/ critique from the NY side— this is definitely a uniquely warm inviting experience! From one food baddie to another, please invite your taste buds to an amazing delightful experience.
