First time here and fell in love with the space . Came for the premiere of Just Hands For The Love Of Racing with local driver Torsten Gross . The evening was perfect and appreciated the accessibility of the Theatre . We really felt like we were all on the race track watching the series of the big screen . With Torsten being in a wheelchair, was happy to see that he could roll onto the stage easily to introduce his Docu Series & give thank yous . Hope to come back soon & see more films. Thanks for the hospitality Colonial .

A gem of a theater in northwestern Connecticut, artfully restored to its Jazz Age splendor. It is perfect for corporate retreats, live music shows, movies and other forms of entertainment. It retains its classic charm in a warm, welcoming small-town vibe.

I was lucky enough to get a tour from the two ambitious couples who recently bought this jewel box of a theater. It is in superb condition and they have started doing events with plans to expand. With tables in front on most chairs one can eat or drink ( a dinner theater was the last venture ). Big screen, roomy with nicely restored decor. There is a second theater/ballroom upstairs and once there was a duck pin bowling alley below which has water damage. With two storefronts this place is perfect not only for shows, live and on film, but for parties, weddings, etc.
