Custom space design, fireplaces, stoves, and tile in Canaan
VERY disappointing. Bought tile from here for small job b/c it's close by. They charged $75 for shipping for two cartons of tile! I got an ENTIRE bathroom's worth of tile -- floor, walls, shower -- from another business in the Valley for a total of $100 shipping. Owner/designer didn't seem interested in our business/job (too small?) and wouldn't budge on shipping or even really engage in helping us. I'll go somewhere else next time.
BEWARE! My parents purchased a pellet stove and installation from this company over a year ago August last year and we are now in September) and they have yet to install it. Every time I call it is just another lie or run around "ill call you back and straighten it all out!" "they will be there tomorrow" "the lift is on another job" "we can't trailer the lift to the house" I would never recommend anyone go through this. They took advantage of an elderly man and do not care to rectify it. Go elsewhere so you don't have to deal with the better business bureau like I will have to
Dealing with Berkshire Hills Design for cabinets has been a total nightmare. It ended up delaying a major renovation project by over 2 months with false promises as to delivery dates or order dates. While it may be a supplier issue, ultimately, getting accurate and complete information is their responsibility and they have totally failed to do that. While the time order was delivered on a timely basis, the cabinet order has been a mess. They clearly need new suppliers. I recommend them for tile. For cabinets, stay away!
Danielle went above and beyond to find our custom order. Even though our flooring wasn’t in their normal distribution menu we had it in three days at the best price (and we shopped around first). I am so thankful to have an expert and efficient local home improvement business. Many thanks!
Lovely showroom! Beautiful finishes and selection. Terrible customer service. We drove close to an hour to shop here for a very large renovation project. Owner made me feel as though we were interrupting her. When I came back 2 days later to return the samples I had borrowed, I had difficulty getting her to look up from the computer to acknowledge me and help me with the boards I was returning. Then, she walked away from helping me to help another customer who came in after me and who asked for a price, and then she continued on with them to choose grout colors for their 14 sq ft fireplace surround project. I try my best to shop locally, but I do feel that I need to get good customer service to justify paying a premium. I will be buying my tile elsewhere.
