Very nice stretch of AT starts here and continues NOBO to Salisbury. This portion is like a walk in the park.

The Appalachian trail passes a power plant and then a bridge just as you pass Falls Village to the East. The power plant is a hydroelectric plant and at the small ivy covered building they have a hot shower and a power outlet that is for long distance hikers. Falls village itself has many services hikers are looking for and is an easy walk. Don't miss the Toymakers Cafe, It has a great reputation and is hiker friendly.
