A Catholic community offering Sunday Mass in Brookfield
I have always felt very welcomed @ this Parish. Father Augustine is there to greet you both before & after Mass. It's an inclusive & welcoming church with many opportunities to meet fellow parishioners. My father's funeral mass was here last year. It was a beautiful, comforting service.
I was denied communion on the tongue by a lay Eucharistic Minister. The woman looked me in the eyes and said “I’m sorry, but you have to take it in the hand”. It. Really. You mean the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord. Last time I checked, this is against canon law. Absolutely bonkers this is tolerated. The other reviews on this page speak for themselves. Avoid at all costs
I won’t be going to this church ever again. The lies that Priest spilled out about ICE was disgusting. Called them criminals. The church of God is not the place to bring on Your opinions.
Very disappointed with my experience. I called seeking assistance related to a property I am in the process of moving into. The man I spoke with was very cold, dismissive, and made it clear he did not want to help. He brushed off my concerns, stated he could “find other places in the area” for assistance instead of offering any guidance, and then abruptly ended the call by hanging up on me. I expected compassion and professionalism, especially from a church when someone is reaching out for help, but unfortunately that was not my experience. Lacking in empathy, care and basic Christian values!
Very disappointed, really feels like a non traditional parish. Several elements felt changed, and the entire bulk of the content was politicized. First time attending the parish & DEI(literally used the words diversity equity & inclusion in his homily) was the primary focus along with immigration policy. Tough to connect with a broad community, and the entire tone & rhetoric felt very non inclusive for me personally. I didn’t come to church for a political lecture, this was a total miss.
