The server's were pleasant but rarely saw them and were always in a hurry. Took a hour and 10 minutes from the time we ordered for our cod fish fry. They didn't even bring us utensils. Or refill water. I liked the Beerbatter and the fish was okay.

Maybe as a bar but not a restaurant. The food was fine. The wait staff was friendly but not attentive. They forgot my fries which is no big deal! The server said she'd get them right away. Fifteen minutes later I got up and found our waitress and asked about the elusive fries. She also said they would be right up. The place seemed clean but we had two or three flies that kept landing on us and our food. The music was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. Finally after everyone finished eating our waitress brought the fries, I asked for a to-go box . The couple I went with said Schmidty's had a good Friday fish fry. I personally won't go back.

Loved this place! First time here and im pleasantly surprised at the service, food, and atmosphere. Im a recovered alcoholic of 8 years, so I especially appreciate the non-alcoholic, THC infused cream soda they carry. I felt a nice little buzz from it. However- one can costs an arm and a leg. Which most cant afford in the terrible economic state that we're in. But over all, it was a good time and I'll definitely be back!

My husband stopped and had the roasted baked rosemary chicken . Mashed potatoes, veggies, bread. He said that was the most flavorful chicken he has had in awhile . Chicken was moist . The veggies he said were also very good . He said the staff was very attentive. He understood there was a private party in the other bar area . We prefer the quiet side bar to the sports side bar . . Great job ! 👍👍👍

Can't speak to the other reviews. Staff are friendly, food is excellent, service was quick. We have been trying to find great fish frys around the area, and this is one of the best. The pieces are thick, soft but don't crumble apart and the tartar sauce has a great homemade flavor you don't find in a lot of places. Potato pancakes are THE best we have come across. Seasoned perfect with that onion/chive taste but eat like a great hashbrown. Colesaw was a light white dressing with a lemon/vinegary taste. Well worth the visit. We look forward to coming back other nights to try the rest of their menu. And no, we don't know the owner. We just have good taste and highly recommend a great fish fry.
