What a horrible experience. We had a starving stray cat come to us a couple weeks ago. We took it in fed it and nurtured it back to health. I decided to take her to Elmbrook to check for a chip. Turned out she was chipped. The woman told me they could hold her for 5 days for me while they tried contacting the owner. The woman looked me in the eye and said on 7/14 I could come get her if the owner doesn't respond. After I agreed they took her from me and from there everything changed. I wasn't allowed to visit her and they told me I now had to fill out adoption forms if I wanted to get her back. I asked if they would make sure I would get her and they said "just go online and fill out the forms". The women I talked to were nasty to me and wouldn't answer my questions. Simply said I was lying and heard them wrong they said I could get her on the 14th. They we're unprofessional and outright rude. My family and friends all filled out applications and called to make sure one way or another we could get back our baby. I've dealt with Elmbrook in the past and even donated money and food. This was the last time I'll ever deal with them.
