Hotel near shopping and dining in Brookfield, Wisconsin
Bathtub/ shower drained slow. Had to sign a code of conduct when checking in. Room had a funk. Hot tob barely had jets. Cobwebs in the room. Wish I would have went somewhere nicer. Positives. There’s nice restaurants connected. Ac was cold. The pool was ok. Breakfast was average waffle maker and cereal. The coffee was bad. We paid brewer game + state fair prices which might explain why we are upset vs the normal price of less then $100 a night.
Chose this hotel because it was cheap and looked decent for a one night stay for Summerfest. Location is great off of 94 and easy access to Milwaukee but god was the room… bad. If it weren’t for the circumstances (only being in the room to sleep, one night stay) I would’ve demanded a room switch. The floors were filthy and the carpet felt very strange under your feet. Almost mushy. It left my white socks BLACK after only walking around for 10 minutes. The room was super humid even with the AC and it smelled faintly of cat pee. The bathroom and beds were clean, at least. But man the carpet was disgusting. Wouldn’t come back.
My husband and I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Brookfield from Friday, June 5th through Sunday, June 7th for our first visit, and unfortunately the stay did not meet acceptable standards for us. Upon entering our suite, we immediately detected a strong mildew or musty odor, likely originating from the old, stained and out dated carpet, which also showed a few small burn marks. Housekeeping quality was noticeably inadequate—my husband observed spider webs as soon as we arrived, the bathroom baseboards were dirty, the room had visible dust, and we also discovered a bug in the jacuzzi. The dual shower heads and double sinks in the bathroom were nice features, but they did not outweigh the overall condition of the suite. The front desk staff was courteous toward me both days, my husband encountered an unfriendly male staff member working the desk on Saturday morning, which further detracted from our experience. The complimentary breakfast was also disappointing; there were no turkey sausage or diced potato options, and the limited selection remained unchanged on both Saturday and Sunday, resulting in us only having beverages and fruit. Although the hotel’s location is convenient for shopping, dining, and visiting the Movie Tavern, we felt uncomfortable after receiving noticeable looks from other guests as we walked through the lobby of the hotel several times, during our visit,which conveyed racial undertones as a Black couple. Considering the cleanliness concerns, outdated suite, lack of satisfactory breakfast offerings, and the overall unwelcoming atmosphere, we do not plan to return.
We were in town to move our daughter home from college and stayed here. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was satisfying. The location was great. We also took in a Brewers game and this hotel was only 15 mins from the stadium. We will definitely be back!
The hotel wasn’t the worst, but it was far from the best. The rooms size was great, TV/Channel selection was good. Phone didn’t work at all in one room. However the two rooms we had the bathroom sink were very slow to drain and while cleaning up to check out we found things under both beds that were not ours and were thrown away upon checkout. When they clean the rooms I think they may be more concerned with doing it quickly than doing it well. It’s a hotel in a busy area that services 100s of guests especially on weekends like this one as we were here for Brewers opening weekend. The continental breakfast runs until 1030am on weekends and that was also a highlight of the hotel as it was one of the better ones I’ve experienced. All in all the stay was fine didn’t have any issues that would prevent me from staying again.
