This bookstore is definitely a hidden gem within bristol. They have a great process for getting rid of books and finding new ones! The owner Erik is awesome, very professional and puts a ton of effort into this store. Highly recommend stopping in to check it out

I’m so grateful to have been invited to sell my handmade jewelry at this wonderful used bookstore, WorthWhile Reads in Bristol, CT. The owners truly care about supporting local authors, artisans, and it shows in everything they do. The staff were genuinely knowledgeable and eager to help. The selection was surprisingly deep for both new releases and harder‑to‑find titles . It’s the kind of place where you walk in for one book and leave with three (or 10) because the atmosphere just pulls you in. The space is vast, welcoming, and full of personality — the perfect place for creative work to shine. I felt valued, encouraged, and part of a real community. If you love discovering unique books and local art, this is the place to visit.

My wife wanted to visit this place for her bday and I was was shocked....in a good way lol. The location is very unique (a warehouse) and the setup spacious. There's plenty of options everyone. From kids, adults, business, crafts, mythical, and a wish list section (fcfs). the staff was very helpful and explained everything very well. It dont matter if u like books or not something will catch your attention, definitely 💯

I recently discovered this hidden gem through a gift card from Barter Business Unlimited, and I am so incredibly glad I did! I likely would have never known about this bookstore otherwise, but it has now become my favorite spot. The affordability here is unmatched, most of the books were only $1! I was able to walk away with a massive haul of nearly 50 items (including children’s books, adult fiction, comic books, and even DVDs) all for under $80. For comparison, I’ve been to other bookstores where just 10 books were more expensive than my entire haul here. The selection is fantastic; my boyfriend is a huge reader and he was truly in heaven with all the options. I also love that they offer a trade-in credit program if you’re looking to get rid of books from your own collection and swap them for something new. They gave you a bin to carry around in case you got a bunch of books, and oh boy did I fill the bin to the brim... there really was that many options of good books!! On top of the great prices, the location is amazing, spacious, and there was plenty of parking, which made the whole trip stress free. If you are looking for high-quality, affordable reading material for the whole family, this is the place to go. Thank you Barter for showing me that a library can be so affordable! I will be returning ☺️
