We went to the annual hug-a-horse event. We had such a nice time. They had many horses to meet, learn to groom and yes, hug, it was definitely a family focused event. However my partner and I went and did not feel out of place at all. I could see us going to many more of their events.

We brought our granddaughter for her first riding lesson.that she got For a Christmas present. At first I thought that our granddaughter was going to want to get off and call it a day but with great finesse and understanding the trainer was able to put a huge smile on our Layla 's face .once she was riding and learned some posture and commands it was off to the races. We will definitely be coming back

My son signed up for Barn Buddies at US Horse Welfare & Rescue this past January as something to do to get out of the house. My son has Autism and I was a bit hesitant at first but was reassured by staff that he would have a great time. The staff was right, what started off as just a Friday activity ended up stirring in him a passion and love for horses that I've never seen before. The instructors make learning and taking care of the horses fun that every time I pick him up, he says "Mom this was the best day ever."

I had a great time visiting the rescue! The farm was easy to find and everybody was kind and knowledgeable. The horses are the main event and they were sweet and clearly well loved. Bob the cat (aka Bobcat) is quite the ambassador and welcomed us with an invitation to pet him. The farm is tranquil and it was fascinating to learn about where the horses came from and get to hang out with them a bit. I'll be looking out for more events.
