Great place for small children to have play dates. I bring my students here every week for storytime and songs. Staff are friendly and helpful.

3.30.26 History you can taste! 🍫☕️ Got to try traditional 18th-century drinking chocolate & solid spiced cakes while observing a demo by Robert Lecce, owner of The Pewter Pot. It was cool to see a metate (a heated stone for grinding cacao nibs) etc. Thank you Avon Library for hosting this great demo. We all enjoyed the chocolates

I've been taking my children here for about 7 years now, and the children's floor is fantastic. There's plenty to do, and often some kind of art / song time hour going on. The staff is wonderful and helpful, and clearly put a ton of effort into making the library a welcoming and enriching place for young people. (Also: my kids are too young for the teen area, but it looks AWESOME.) If you're looking for something fun to do with your kids this summer, I can't recommend our library enough 👍
