Unfortunately, numerous "paintings" for sale are clearly AI generated. For a store featuring authentic vintage goods, it seriously makes things inauthentic. Some things here are lovely, and you can spend some time here perusing, but it makes me sad to see a few beautifully aged trinkets mixed with expensive slop. Please look a little harder next time. It also puts the sellers integrity into question if they are willing to sell AI generated "art" for an expensive price. I thought quality handmade items was an entire point to this store. AI generated "art" makes the lives of true artists harder. Before all of this, this store was great. I think it still could be, you just have to look harder.

There's some cute crafty finds, but overall we were pretty disappointed. "Vintage" is used rather loosely, it's unfortunately a lot of AI art and 3D printed items. I wouldn't include it in an antique roadtrip, but there's a few gems within the crowded aisles.

Slightly unhappy with my visit when checking out. Jeffery didn't use much care when checking me out. I purchased three wool mouse ornaments, spent $38 dollars I carried them through out the store each on a finger to keep them from getting damaged. When I checked out, Jeffery cut off one of the strings to hang the ornaments and then was about to tape the string to the ornament before I stopped him. Clearly, Jeffery has no real concept about wool ornaments as adhering the string with tape to the wool ornament will tear the wool when removing the tape. Then Jeffery grabbed all the ornaments at once and put them in the bag instead of wrapping each ornament separately before placing the ornaments in the bag. It wasn't until I took pictures for this review that I noticed that Jeffery also cut the string to yet another ornament but didn't say anything, now it makes sense why Jeffery grabbed the ornaments and quickly put them in a bag without wrapping each ornament separately. Truthfully, it's not the best customer service, to say the least. I included photos....You can see the cake mouse ornament has no string to hang the ornament, then the string to cheese mouse ornament is also cut too. Using care and being extra mindful is something to work on when checking people out.

Ye Old Goat is a very well curated and clean vintage decorative store. Since I'm a dude, I was hoping for more of a thrift store vibe with vinyl and more actual antiques or even vintage clothing. I pretty sure chicks will dig the shabby chic offerings, however. Of the re-pops they sell, I liked the cast iron hardware and stuff which was reasonably priced. Don't get me wrong, there were definitely some cool retro knickknacks scattered throughout. If you're into pumpkin spice though all I can say is, "Here's your sign."
