⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience! I learned so much about the history of Appleton and the people who helped shape this community. The exhibits were engaging, informative, and thoughtfully presented, making it easy to connect with the stories behind the city’s past. I especially enjoyed learning about Harry Houdini and his connection to Appleton. It was fascinating to discover more about his life, career, and the impact he had on the city’s identity. The museum does an excellent job of bringing local history to life through stories like his. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Appleton and its rich history. The museum is well organized, and there is something interesting around every corner. I highly recommend visiting to both locals and visitors alike.

I enjoyed my time at this musuem. I spent a little over an hour there and got a good overview of the history of WI, the Fox River, the story of Houdini, and the history of dinosaurs.

Spent a couple hours at the prehistoric Wisconsin exhibit. There was a ton of interesting, easy-to-understand information about different time periods and what Wisconsin was like during each one. The artifacts were really cool as well. The Fox Valley exhibit was super informative and interesting, too. We ran out of time to see the Houdini exhibit, but we will definitely be back!

Very expensive for a small museum for a family of 7. The vintage train track was amazing, the creator was there and explained it to the kids and was very kind and understanding. The Hudini exhibit was fun, although needs some updating and fixing but was fun to check out. The museum has a lot of potential.

It was ok, the only part I actually understood why it was there was the houdini exhibit on the third floor and the historical pieces of the 19th century. There were too many pieces that were confusing and didn't make sense in the museum in my opinion. We paid 12 dollars per person all adults in case anyone is curious on prices...very cool architecture and I would recommend the back story from the clerk that was offered but we forgot to circle back and ask!
