That place had so many people there. It was nuts trying to find something to eat without a line. This was all down by the food trucks and band stands.

Went Saturday 27 Sept. THIS IS NOT AN OCTOBERFEST. This is a Fall street fair. Having said that it is a great time. VERY well organized, great crowd, great food and great music. Cost is is a bit much, purchased 3 wrist bands and 12 beer tickets. So you need to buy a wrist band to walk around and drink, and beer is all $6 each. I bought 3 wrist bands an 12 beer tickets $90 There is a wide assortment of music from Blurgrass, Country, to contemporary. THERE WERE NO POLKA BANDS. I'm sorry but if you advertise yourself as an Octoberfest you must have polka band. As far as food, when I go to an Octoberfest I want German food. "Give schnitzel or give me death". Plenty of multi-cultural food. Check out Eggroll Inc. great curry. There were 6 of us that went and we were all dressed in traditional dirndl and lederhosen, while we're not the only ones we were the minority. As far as being an Octoberfest I give it a 2 to 3, as far as being a street fair it's a 4 to 5. If you want an Octoberfest go to LA Cross or Cedarberg. Out of state go to Schells Brewer in New Ulm. Minnesota it is amazing.

For an Octoberfest there isn't much in way of German food. Just about all the stalls are selling Hispanic or Asian food. But there is plenty of music and beer.

Heard this event was giant and was really excited to attend. It is billed as an Oktoberfest, but there are no polka bands, or dancing, no pretzel, schnitzel, stein carrying or keg throwing, or even a Bier Garten. It IS a large outdoor music festival with good local bands on multiple stages. Beer $6 for all varieties, (no Miller,Leinies, or Point, but Bud was available for some reason). And biggest cash grab was $5 for bracelet to be ALLOWED to buy beer. Local bars were banned from carryout to prevent competition with event. Friday night car show was totally worth it, and would suggest attending that and passing on the faux Oktoberfest on Saturday.

As always a really great time. Great food and fun things to buy and do.Very well planned and organized. Awesome bands and a whole day to spend with the family. Well worth the time and a wonderful experience. Thank you Appleton for a job well done. We hope to see you again next year.
