We stayed a Tinkerbell for 7 nights in January and we truly loved it. The location of our beach villa n1 was truly unbeatable. The rooms feel understated quiet luxury with a rustic tropical feel. Having your own piece of private beach is indescribable. Truly felt like a treat. The staff is lovely and attentive and so so sweet. I was heart broken when we had to leave this place. Food is great and very fairly priced. Breakfast varied enough not to get tired of it after 7 days. Location: Khlong chao is The best beach on the island together with khlong Hin. I am very picky about beaches and for me this is a 10/10. We will 100% book again as I believe Tinkerbell is hands down the best hotel in Koh Kood, only second to Soneva Kiri.

I don’t disagree with the other negative reviews, but overall I enjoyed my stay even if it was a little over priced. The rooms and facilities are in need of some maintenance but they are spacious and clean. The pool villas have an upper roof terrace with bar and bathroom where you can enjoy one the best sunsets in the area. The ladies working in the restaurant are fantastic! We are here everyday and the thai food was really good. Most of the rest of the staff are friendly and hard working. The beach itself is very nice but depending on winds and currents there can be quite some trash. The staff clean up the beach in the morning and afternoon but lack the manpower to keep it clean all day like you would expect in other luxury resorts. The only disappointment was the breakfast and that there was no room service.

Tinkerbell is first of all not even close a 5 star resort, they very misleadingly advertise on Booking.com and Google with outdated,manipulated pictures. See attached pictures what a 300 euro a night rate gets you for a pool 'villa'. The rooms and bathrooms and upstairs terrace are at least 20 years old never renovated and not properly maintained. Room was full with mosquitos every night, the doors have huge cracks when closed causing them to come in easily. Of that was not enough the bathroom fan and tiles are covered in mold.. No compensation whatsoever offered by the management and to make matters worse they didn't even respond to our rightfully booking.com complaint and email they received from booking so we could be reimbursed about misleading advertisement and the sub standard state of the room and breakfast..

We chose Tinkerbell Resort because it appeared as a top-rated 5-star property in Koh Kood. We trusted the rating, the strong reviews, and the high price, unfortunately, that was a big mistake. In our opinion, this is not a 5-star hotel, not even close. There is no gym, no spa, and no hotel activities you would normally expect from a 5-star property. The hotel clearly needs major renovation to justify its 5-star claim. Everything feels old, especially the bathroom. The fixtures are rusted, and even the water has a salty taste. The only positives are the staff, who are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the location, which is beautiful. After visiting other hotels on the island, we found many that were much better. When we checked the prices, they were all cheaper, some were even less than half the price we paid. If they removed the 5-star advertising and adjusted the price to be at least half of what we paid, this could actually be a lovely choice for travelers who value the location and friendly staff. However, at the current price and 5-star claim, it simply does not meet expectations.

Overrated resort for the price. The rooms, whether beach or pool villa, are in desperate need for maintenance. Insects can get in everywhere and it is not hard to find mold, dirt or missing paint. The restaurant and cocktail prices are too high for the quality and quantity you get. It also explains why there are almost no hotel guests ordering anything throughout the day. Breakfast is very average. The villas are all very tightly packed together. While the beach villas do not provide any privacy at all as the public beach is right in front of them (especially during high tide tourists will stroll right in front of your "private" porch), the pool villas at least have natural fencing around them. The hotel pool, the beach and the location for restaurants is nice. The staff is also friendly.
