Serving pizzas, pasta dishes, and baked goods from 5 PM to 9 PM daily
We were in the mood for pizza and pasta, so we ordered the truffle pizza and a tomato pizza with mushrooms. Both were absolutely delicious – the best pizza we've had in Thailand so far. The prices are a bit higher, but it's definitely worth paying extra for the quality. The staff were very friendly and even spoke English.
After just two days of Thai food in Koh Kood I decided to have pizza for the third and last day...and honestly I didn't expect to be so surprised and my taste buds to have such a fine feast. I have ordered a white four cheese pizza with onion...and it was and absolute blast, whoever is behind that counter as a pizzaiolo has a lot of taste, experience and quality Ingredients to prep that pizza so well. Really cannot understand why it's so highly rated. The bruschetta as an appetizer was good. That was the only point. Pizza was very mid, no real flavour, the bread was completely flavorless. Also, the lasagna tasted like frozen lasagna, really really poor. On top of it, we both had stomach pain after visiting. Really really poor overall. A positive side is the staff, all of them lovely but the food quality just doesn't cut it.
To be honest, for a place called Pizza & Pasta, the pizza was quite disappointing. The pasta is clearly not homemade either, although it is relatively cheap. There is a big Italian flag and the branding suggests an authentic Italian experience, but on the island you can actually find much better pizza elsewhere — especially places that make proper Neapolitan-style pizza even without heavily advertising themselves as Italian. They also have a bakery section where they bake every morning around 9. However, I found it strange that for certain types of bread or pastries there were only one or two pieces available. In a bakery, it feels odd when they bake something but only make a single piece of it. It also felt quite overpriced. For example, four small rolls cost around 400 baht, and for that price you could easily eat a full pizza somewhere else. We actually came here first when we arrived on the island because we thought it would be a safe choice. But after exploring more places and trying other restaurants, this ended up being one of the weaker food experiences on the island. As an addition: I also tried the rolls and the bread. They might be considered good by Thai standards, but I know how truly great bread is made. I’m not saying it’s bad, but it feels overrated — and just because it’s in Thailand doesn’t mean bread should be priced so high that it discourages people from coming back.
Very warm and nice athmosphere, delicious pasta sauces and excellent pannacotta made by lady of the house. Owner is very nice gentleman - he was also very kind letting me bring my own gluten free pasta with me. Pizza was good too - obviously I could not eat it myself (celiac disease) but we share same pizza enthusiast with my husband and I could see it was good 😅! Not to forget gluten free super delicious gnocchies!! Warm recommendation for all pizza and pasta lovers!
